Lawro predicts, sunderland away
West Ham have been outstanding of late, and their manager Sam Allardyce deserves the plaudits he has been getting.
They have got so many attacking options, and on current form you would expect them to go to the Stadium of Light and win.
But after watching Sunderland a couple of times recently, I fancy them to get a surprise result here.

The Black Cats drew with Liverpool last time out with a really disciplined defensive performance at Anfield.
Sunderland did exactly the same when I watched them against Everton last month - everyone held their positions and did not move out to give Liverpool any space.
It is almost as if Sunderland boss Gus Poyet is trying to instil that kind of solidity into his side before looking to make them more fluid going forward. If that means grinding out a win here, I think he would take it.

Lawro's prediction: 1-0

He surprised me last week by getting the right result, he's usually so reliable at getting it wrong, lets hope it was a one off

Sunderland will have to come at us, their at home and we done them last year. A great defensive performance will be our platform for a 0-2 win.

Lawros a mug!

Ithink he is at that stage that if he says we lose eventually he will be right .

AS said previously if we had followed his predictions we probably would be bottom 3 by now .

Sunderland have improved, he's right there, but I fancy us still...

I've been highly impressed with how we've managed to grind-out three wins on-the-bounce with so many injury woes... Sign of a good team...

A win at Sunderland and then at Home to Leicester will make it 5 straight wins and a Merry fucking Christmas indeed...

They are much more solid defensively but I can't see them getting more than a goal past us and I can see us getting at least a couple, love to see Carroll's approach to this game knowing the stick he's gonna get.

1-2 for me.

Amusing how he now has to be nice about us before predicting that we will lose....

Brown and O'shay as a pairing have mistakes in them they're grinders as a team a bit like we're under Pulis!

Win for the irons and a red card for one of theirs!

Does the twat not realise that Liverpool are shite so Sunderland securing a draw against them is hardly an achievement.

Based on the entire fact that they held his beloved Pool to a draw. Despite realising that Liverpool are a shocking outfit currently !!!

Is Adam Johnson playing?

He is their Downing and has had a quiet season so far, he was on fire last year.

Bit nervous about this one.
